Costume Contest
These are my three boys. Left to right is Carter, Hunter, and Toby. They are 4 months old. They were born prematurely at 30 weeks and spent 7 long weeks in the NICU. We went camping this past labor day weekend and it was Halloween theme at the campground so they got to dress up. My boys were born prematurely and they have bronchopulmonary disease which is a lung disease ,because of this between the months of Oct-March we will not be able to leave the house due to the risk of contracting an illness which could be fatal to my babies. Although we will be missing out on the boys first halloween, we got to show off their halloween costumes then and now here! These are my three peas in a pod and the best men in my life!! Hope you enjoyed looking :)

It's way to early to start planning my Halloween Horror Nights 2011 Orlando trip but it's never too early to start checking the rumor mill speculation about themes for this years haunted houses.
A quick search didn't reveal a whole lot of information except a few basic rumors;
Rumor: Halloween Horror Nights 2011 will be held at Universal Studios again.
Chris Stevens has grown a New World Record Giant Pumpkin. This massive pumpkin weighs in at a colossal 1810.5 pounds.
Chris' Giant Pumpkin trumps the previous record set in 2009 of 1,725 pounds by a full 85.5 pounds.
Chris has been growing giant pumpkins for several years and credits his success to a lot of work, and the right tools including BiotaMax Soil Probiotics.
Chris doesn't plan on resting with the current record. He's shooting for a New Giant Pumpkin World Record in 2011 so we'll check back around Halloween.
For the most part I subscribe to the theory that if it isn't chocolate.... why bother.
Halloween however, opens that all up with the bowls full of tasty treats. A Perfect example... Candy Corn. Candy Corn is a must have for me around halloween. It just goes with the season.
Recently I was enjoying some at a friends house when they started pouring peanuts into the Candy Corn Bowl.
My first reaction was that they had to be "Nuts" but being nuts myself I tried the concoction.
To my surprise... it was good.... really good.
Next year Candy Corn and Peanuts will definitely be a part of my halloween treats... but I think I'll add some Chocolate!

So I'm working, ok I am at work, and it occurs to me that we are coming up on Half Way to Halloween 2011. I'm not sure of the exact day but the countdown to Halloween says 199 days so we are pretty close.
Well that got me thinking....you see, I have my first baby due in about two weeks. Pretty Cool Huh?
So what is my point? Baby = Baby Halloween Costumes! I get to turn my baby into a Halloween Freak just like me... at least till she's old enough to object.
Of course there is one more hurdle... my wife. Not that she doesn't like Halloween, or Costumes, actually quite the opposite. She loves them both and there lies my problem. My wife is going to want to dress my daughter.
She'll most likely chose something super cute like a pumpkin costume or flower costume. I'd probably go a little more of the beaten path, perhaps a cute tootsie roll costume I just saw or may a winnie the pooh costume.
Of course when she is older I am sure we will see her in a snow white costume or a princess costume. Who know what she'll be wearing when she is a teen... omg, did I just say that... back to her infant costume... that's all I can handle right now and I am sure I'll love her in whatever her mom picks out.
